Three people were arrested on Wednesday after police launched an investigation into an attempted armed robbery in Saskatoon’s West Industrial neighbourhood.
Officers responded to a call around 5:00 a.m. after getting a report of a gun going off at a home in the 300 block of Avenue P South.
Police allege two female suspects had attempted to rob a male and a female at gun point in the home.
One of the females was assaulted when an altercation ensued, but investigators have yet to confirm whether shots actually went off.
An investigation lead police to a second home where police initially detained seven people and seized a hand gun.
A 36-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant.
A 36-year-old man was arrested on a warrant and new charge of breaching a court order.
A 24-year-old man was arrested for breaching a court order.
Four other people, who were detained during the investigation, were released without charges.
