Weyburn’s son in the PGA, Graham Delaet, is giving even more to help his hometown get a new hospital.
The Graham and Ruby Delaet Foundation donated $30,000 to the Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation (WDHF), which is aiming to raise enough money to build and equip a new hospital for the city.
“Growing up in Weyburn, I know what a great opportunity we have, which can be seen in the ongoing support for the WDHF. I also know how much a new facility with state of the art equipment is needed in order to keep our community healthy, so we are happy to do whatever we can to help,” said Delaet in a news release.
This isn’t the first time Delaet has helped out the hospital foundation. He helped raise more than $735,000 in two years for the foundation by being a part of its golf tournament and dinner.
“Without his support, we could not have reached this level of success,” said WDHF board chair, Michael Hoffman, in a news release.
Since it was founded in 2008, close to $22 million has been raised by and for the WDHF.
