Snowbird surprises girlfriend with romantic proposal in Moose Jaw

Planes flew and hearts fluttered on Friday afternoon for the final performance of the season from the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.

The aircrafts blazed through the air one last time this year for friends, family and special guests, but one member of the team wanted to make it a day most would never forget.

Corporal Andrew Valentine devised a plan to have his girlfriend, Sara Artiga, deliver a message to him during the show, while he video taped the performance from the Snowbirds.

Just as Artiga approached Valentine to tell him the pilots were about to change their planned pattern, Valentine turned around and knelt down on one knee.

During the excitement, two aircrafts in the sky created the shape of a heart with their smoke trails.

Valentine popped the question and she said yes.
