Most people in Regina approve the new Mosaic Stadium.
A new Mainstreet/Postmedia poll finds 77 per cent of Regina residents say they approve of the new stadium.
The poll suggests this high approval rating could be because of claims by Mayor Michael Fougere that the facility was on time and on budget throughout construction.
Most opinions improved over the last five years with 43 per cent saying their opinion improved and 39 per cent saying their opinion stayed the same. Only seven per cent said their opinion of the stadium diminished.
The numbers are a stark comparison to the ones coming out of Edmonton. Only 44 per cent of Edmonton residents approved of Rogers Place when they were surveyed earlier this fall.
A random sample of 603 Regina residents were surveyed and there is a margin of error of +/- 3.99 per cent, 19 times out of 20.
