Police have arrested two men after they fled from the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Oct. 14.
Police attended to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Albert Street and 4th Avenue at 5:53 a.m. Police said a northbound car ran a red light and collided with a westbound truck.
The driver, a 30-year-old man, and two passengers, a 26-year-old man and an unknown woman, exited the car and fled. Police chased and arrested both men. Police said the woman was not arrested and has not been identified.
The 30-year-old was in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine. A firearm, ammunition and a machete was recovered from the car.
The driver of the truck, a 25-year-old man, had minor injuries and did not require EMS.
Thirty-year-old Jason Lloyd Morin is facing 16 charges including carrying a concealed weapon and driving while impaired.
Twenty-six-year-old Michael Riley Obey is facing 13 charges including possession of a weapon and resisting arrest.
The two men are scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
Police say the incident is still under investigation.
