Body discovered in home east of Regina's Pasqua Hospital

Regina police are investigating a death at a residence just east of the Pasqua Hospital.

A body was discovered at the home on the 1500 block of McTavish Street Tuesday.

Police confirm that is the same home where a fire took place in the early morning hours of Oct. 5.

Police said in a news release, at the time of the blaze, the property was searched as well as it could be given the extreme heat and instability of the structure.

The identity of the person or how they died is not known yet.

Investigators are waiting for the results of an autopsy ordered by the Office of the Chief Coroner.

The house is being held as a potential crime scene.
