Road report: Icy highways in Saskatchewan

Drivers across the province are being warned about slippery highways and dangerous road conditions.

Highway 1 all the way from the Manitoba border to the Alberta border is wet and subject to freezing. From Moose Jaw to Swift Current drivers should be extra careful because of icy and slippery conditions.

Provincial highways in Regina, Moose Jaw and Weyburn are slushy and icy with slippery sections. RCMP are warning drivers of the poor road conditions in the Regina area.

Provincial highways in Carlyle, Yorkton, Kindersley and Wynyard are wet and subject to freezing.

Swift Current provincial highways have reduced visibility due to heavy snow. The roads are slushy, icy with slippery sections.

Saskatoon provincial highways may have reduced visibility because of loose snow in the Lucky Lake area. Everywhere else the road is wet and subject to freezing.

Highway 33 was closed Tuesday morning after a crash near Lajord, Sask.
