A fire destroyed Bengough Drugs, the community’s pharmacy on Sunday.
Fire crews battled the fire on Main Street until early Monday morning. One witness said nothing is left of the building.
Kathy Gudnason witnessed the scene and told Discover Weyburn that it was a shock to see the destruction.
Despite the hardships ahead, Gudnason said the community has already began rallying together.
“This is a really supportive community and people work together here very well, it’s an awesome volunteer base in this community so to see this doesn’t surprise me,” she said.
Eighteen firefighters were said to be on hand from the communities of Bengough, Willow Bunch and Coronach.
Those in need of services from the pharmacy can phone Weyburn Pharmasave (306-848-3850) and Radville Pharmasave at (306-869-2272) for assistance. The local nurse pratitioner will also be available Tuesday to help patients.
