An early morning crash between two vehicles in Regina caused the death of one person.
According to a release from the Regina Police Service, police were called to the intersection of Albert Street and 25th Ave. on Saturday at about 2:59 a.m.
A Dodge Journey and a Kia Spectra were both traveling north. The Kia Spectra was stopped at a red light but the driver of the Dodge was traveling at a high speed and slammed into the rear of the Kia.
The driver of the Kia was treated at the scene for minor injuries but the front seat passenger was fatally injured.
Brendan Sugar, the driver of the Dodge, was charged with impaired driving causing death and will make his first court appearance on Tuesday.
