A police investigation has determined there was no suspicious package at the STC bus depot in Regina on Friday morning.
The investigation began just before 10:30 a.m. when police received a report from an employee that there could be a suspicious package on a bus.
A bus driver told 980 CJME he had an agitated passenger on a bus who had forgotten his bag and medication at the terminal.
The driver said he turned around so the man could grab his bag. When the bus returned to the depot, the man took off.
The building was evacuated and traffic was temporarily blocked on Osler Street as police investigated.
A search of the bus and the building turned up nothing unusual.
The matter concluded just before 12:30 p.m.
Police said the concern came from a misinterpretation of an individual’s behaviour.
Officers are investigating an incident at Sask Dr & Osler St. Please avoid area (including Police Station) until we advise otherwise. #yqr
