Two officers were punched in the face during a dust-up with a suspect Thursday night.
Police were called around 11:30 p.m. to a home in the 1000 block of First Avenue North about a man assaulting his sister. As police tried arresting the suspect, police say he punched the officers in the face and tried to flee.
The officers were eventually able to gain control of the suspect and took him into custody.
One of the officers suffered a minor injury in the incident.
Police say the 21-year-old suspect had an outstanding warrant.
He is facing assault and breach of undertaking charges and is expected to appear in court Friday morning.
