Riders beat Lions to punch ticket to CFL West final

The Riders are back in the West final for the first time since 2021.
Police have identified a man who died in a Saskatoon home on Avenue Q North as 28-year-old Joshua John Robert Megeney, of Medicine Hat, Alta.
Officers found Megeney holding a gun as they searched the house around 9 a.m Thursday morning after receiving a report about a break-in.
Shots were fired when police made initial contact with Megeney, who was located in a bedroom. It’s still unclear whether Megeney was shot by police.
Tactical team members then surrounded the home and remained in place for much of the day.
Officers found Megeney’s body when they re-entered the home around 4:30 p.m.
Police still haven’t confirmed whether their bullets killed Megeney. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday, but there has been no word on when the results might come back.
