'Start of something special': Riders use garbage bag day to reflect on 2024

A Moose Jaw homeowner is thankful for what she calls lucky timing.
A two-vehicle crash sent a truck onto Courtney Waldenberg’s front yard Thursday.
“I came home and there was a truck kissing my front window,” said Waldenberg, who was at work at the time of the accident.
She said a friend told her of the accident and she rushed home to see if there was any damage. Waldenberg said outside of “a couple scrapes” to the exterior of her home, nothing was out of place.
She shutters to think of what could have happened.
“It’s ironic…I posted pictures of my 8-year old playing on the front lawn this morning. Thank God nobody was injured,” she said.
The other vehicle involved slammed into a nearby tree.
As of Thursday at 6 p.m. Moose Jaw Police had not given an update on any injuries, damage or if any charges were laid in the incident.
