The locker room was full of optimism for the future of the organization on Sunday.
They’re serving not only food, but hope as well.
The Regina Food Bank has launched its 30th annual food drive, hoping once again to raise more than 300 tons of food in a short window.
Similar to past years, homeowners should have received brown paper bags in the mail from the food bank, and are encouraged to fill them up with a variety of non-perishable items. On Oct. 15, volunteers will come around and pick up the bags from front doorsteps. For those who aren’t home, donations can also be made online.
A lot of work goes on for volunteers behind the scenes this time of year and 980 CJME’s Kevin Martel went to the food bank to share their stories in the latest Martel on the Move.
