Saskatoon Blue Jays fans are doing their part to show their support as the team heads into this year’s playoffs.
The Jays won a thriller in the American League Wildcard Game Tuesday night, beating the Baltimore Orioles 5-3 on a 3-run blast from slugger Edwin Encarnacion in the 11th inning.
Working the till Wednesday at Olympian Sports on the corner of 22nd Street and Idylwyld Drive, Heather Campbell said the start of another playoff run for the team has got Jays merch flying off the shelves.
“Definitely, we’ve been selling just unbelievable amounts,” she said.
Campbell said Josh Donaldson jerseys have proven the most popular so far, with a lot of people also picking up Marcus Stroman and Kevin Pillar jerseys as well.
The Jays begin their American League Divisional Series against the Texas Rangers Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
