Frustrated flyers were delayed leaving Regina International Airport Wednesday morning.
Marcia McLean, was supposed to take off at 6:15 a.m. but her flight to Toronto was delayed for two hours.
“I can’t believe it, not ready for winter? This is Regina,” she said from the airport.
McLean was told the de-icing machine was broken and they needed to wait for mechanics.
“We get our winter tires put on our car, you’d think they would check their de-icing truck to make sure it was working,” said McLean.
McLean had already travelled from Swift Current to the airport. She was worried she wouldn’t make it to her final destination.
“Of course everyone is hoping to make connections on the other end. We are hoping to get to Charlottetown and there’s probably only one flight a day. We’re hoping we’ll make it,” she said.
There’s no word yet on how many flights were delayed.
