A construction sign near Regina was turning heads Monday morning.
Someone changed the sign on Highway #6 to read “AH F*** EH.”
The construction is part of the bypass project south of the city and needs a passcode to be changed. It can only be done manually.
John Ma with the Regina Bypass confirms they looked into the issue and the sign vendor has agreed to some changes.
“From now on they will look into changing the passcode periodically,” Ma explained.
“We want to take this opportunity to look at how we can improve and make sure this doesn’t happen again. To some people it is a prank but to us it is no laughing matter.”
The electronic signs are being used to inform drivers about detours, speed changes and other information.
It is similar to the story last year when a City of Regina sign was changed to read “honk if you luv titties”. That sign on Gordon Road was supposed to warn people about the upcoming road closure.
A photo of a similar sign in Edmonton went viral over the weekend because of a message reading “we done bitches,” celebrating the end of construction.
