Logan Flodell kept the Saskatoon Blades in it for as long as he could, before Medicine Hat rallied in the third for a 5-1 victory Friday night.
Flodell was solid through the first two periods as the host Tigers piled on the pressure. The Blades goalie stopped 30 of 32 shots after 40 minutes to keep it a 2-1 game into the third.
Medicine Hat scored three unanswered markers in the final frame to run away with the victory and hand the Blades their second loss of the season.
Mason McCarty scored the Blades lone goal midway through the first period.
The game was also the return of Saskatoon star defenceman Libor Hajek, who is back from Tampa Bay Lightning Camp. He was also named the Blades second assistant captain.
Saskatoon continues their weekend road trip on Saturday night, when they visit the Kootenay Ice.
