The parking lot at the Costco near SaskTel Centre on Saturday mornings can seem like a zoo.
But shoppers are hopeful that will soon change with a second location being opening on the southeast side of Saskatoon in November.
“I’m very pumped,” said shopper Jeff Bergman.
“I’ll keep coming to this one because I live in the north, but now everybody can go to the other one.”
That other one will anchor the new Meadows Market development.
“I’m so excited,” said Tanya, who was shopping at the store Saturday.
“I just want the lines in the store to die down at the checkouts.”
While traffic congestion is supposed to be more controlled once the second Costco is open, not everyone is optimistic.
“I’ll believe it when I see it,” said a man from Prince Albert.
“I hate all shopping, the wife makes me come here.”
A posting on the Costco website shows openings for more than 20 positions at the southeast business.
