A 29-year-old Ontario man was arrested and charged in connection with a bank robbery which occurred in Regina on Sept. 19.
Regina police said the man entered the bank on the 2400 block of 7th Ave. North just after 4:00 p.m.
The man allegedly approached an employee with a note which indicated the man had a firearm and was threatening to use it.
The employee complied with his demands and the man fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police say an investigation into the robbery led to the arrest of the 29-year-old man on Sept. 21 in the area of Dewdney Avenue and Albert Street.
A Regina woman, who knows the accused, was also arrested.
John Palenkas, 29, has been charged with robbery with violence, breach of undertaking and three breach of probation charges.
Caitlin Dorval, 31, has been charged with breach of undertaking.
Palenkas made his first court appearance on Thursday, Sept. 22.
Dorval was released from police custody and will make her first court appearance on Nov. 1.
