White Butte RCMP have charged two people after a string of vehicle thefts.
RCMP said they have been investigating several vehicle thefts and recovered stolen vehicles in their detachment’s area.
On Sept. 12, White Butte RCMP located an abandoned truck with a mismatched license plate, both stolen from the R.M. of Edenwold, near Pilot Butte.
RCMP said the investigation led them to believe the suspects were in the Brandon, Man. area.
The Brandon Police Service were told about this, and after a follow-up investigation, two people were charged and taken into custody.
Danielle Fink, 34, and Desmond Henry, 26, both from Regina, are currently in custody in Manitoba facing charges from the Brandon area.
White Butte RCMP is seeking to bring both parties back to Saskatchewan.
White Butte RCMP has charged Fink with six counts of property obtained by crime and one count of fraud under $5,000. Henry has been charged with three counts of property obtained by crime, two counts of breaching an undertaking, one count of dangerous driving and one count of flight from a peace officer.
RCMP are reminding the public to remove their keys from their vehicles and lock their vehicle doors.
