Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP are looking for two men after what is being called a “serious assault” on the Muscowpetung First Nation — a little northeast of Regina.
The alleged assault took place in a remote spot on the reserve, some time late Sunday night or early Monday morning.
The 42-year-old victim was taken to a Regina hospital and is in stable condition.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Wade Morris Lerat, 32, and Tyler Louis Yuzicappi, 22. Both are charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, and overcoming resistance to commission of offence.
The victim and both suspects are from the Muscowpetung First Nation.
If anyone knows the whereabouts of Lerat or Yuzicappi, they are encouraged not to approach them and call the Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP at 306-332-2222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
