After a close battle in the final of the 2015 Canadian Bowl, it was expected to be a tough test for the Saskatoon Hilltops when they visited the Okanagan Sun on Saturday.
That was not what happened. The ‘tops offense exploded in a 58-2 victory over the Sun in Kelowna.
Saskatoon made it look easy against the B.C Conference’s best defensive team, with 266 yards rushing and 158 passing yards.
Logan Fischer and Sam Mike each had two touchdowns each. Justyn Lightle, Jared Andreychuk and Jason Price added six of their own.
With the win, Saskatoon moves to five wins and one loss on the season, still behind undefeated Calgary in the league standings.
Up next is a trip to Regina for a meeting with the Rams on Oct. 1. It will be the last regular season meeting between the two sides at the old Mosaic Stadium.
