More students than ever before have chosen to study at the University of Regina.
Enrolment has increased at the University of Regina to 14,760 students for the 2016 fall semster.
In a press release, the U of R is stating there is a 400 student, or 2.8 per cent, increase in enrolment in degree programs or degree-eligible credit courses as of the first day of classes on Sept. 7.
“The start of the fall semester is always an exciting time of year at the University, and it is wonderful to see so many new and returning students who have chosen to pursue their post-secondary education here,” says Timmons, president and vice-chancellor of the University of Regina. “The sustained growth in enrolment over the last eight years indicates that students continue to appreciate the value a University of Regina education provides in today’s world.”
The 14,760 students is a new record for the University.
