The final weekend of training camp is set for Nov. 22-24 back in Saskatoon.
You might call it the luckiest lottery terminal in Saskatchewan.
The Swift Current Pharmasave is where $60 million winner Mary Wernicke bought her ticket.
Her son Fred described the moment she checked the ticket.
“All of a sudden the clerk just like, looks at Mary, looks at the machine, looks back at Mary and then says, you’re the big winner,” Wernicke described.
Store manager Jahnaya Mann calls it a pretty exciting moment.
“It was pretty exciting, there were a number of customers in here, I mean of course it is exciting, it is $60 million,” Mann said.
Mann’s been told her lottery machine will get busier after a big win with everyone wanting a ticket from that particular machine.
“The word on the street is that it does get substantially busier after you have a lottery win like that,” Mann stated.
Wernicke’s lottery win was the largest in Saskatchewan’s history.
