A 39-year-old man from Calgary, AB, is facing numerous charges after a traffic stop in the Kenaston late Sunday night.
A member of the Saskatoon Police Service working with the Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan (CTSS) Unit pulled over the vehicle around 11:00 p.m.
Police turned up a loaded firearm in the vehicle as well as cocaine and cash during an investigation.
A woman was also arrested but later released without charges.
The man is facing eight firearms-related charges, several breaches of a court order and Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking.
A large amount of money was seized under Proceeds of Crime legislation.
He is expected to appear before a Justice of the Peace Monday evening.
The CTSS Unit is comprised of officers from the Saskatoon Police Service and the RCMP ‘F’ Division working together to keep roads safe.
