Man facing 4 charges after alleged assault in Regina

A Regina man has been arrested and charged after an alleged assault in the Washington Park neighbourhood.

Police were called to the 900 block of Rae Street around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday for a report of injured people.

When officers arrived they found a man outdoors on the step, as well as two women and a man inside the house. The man found outside was injured and taken to hospital. Two occupants of the house — a 26-year-old man and 26-year-old woman — were injured as well and taken to hospital.

Evidence gathered as part of the investigation indicated the man outside the house had assault the other two who were injured.

David Allan Shepherd, 26, has been charged with aggravated assault, uttering threats, and assault with a weapon. He will make his first court appearance in Regina Thursday.
