Flegel will stand for re-election in ward 10

Resident of ward 10 will see a familiar name on their ballots when voting for their councilor in the upcoming municipal elections.

Jerry Flegel officially announced he would be seeking re-election at a news conference on Thursday afternoon.

Flegel said he plans to focus on a number of issues during his re-election campaign.

“We’re looking at continued road renewal, policing, upgrades to green spaces.”

Flegel said the accomplishments he is most proud of is helping to get more development done in the ward.

“(I am) proud of getting more development … to get the development here, to allow for more commercial development to come here.”

The next municipal election is on Oct 26.
