This weekend Victoria Park in downtown Regina will play host to over 30 different musical acts as part of the Regina Folk Festival.
Besides music the festival also features around 40 different vendors and 15 different food stands.
One those vendors is Adam Chomos of 02 Party Bars, which will be providing oxygen bars to festival goers.
Chomos said the oxygen can have some real good benefits.
“The impact of the oxygen can do anything from relax and de-stress, to provide a very natural energy boost, all the way to a very natural hang over cure.”
Chomos said he and his company had been out to other festivals this summer, such as Country Fest in Dauphin Manitoba and the Craven Country Jamboree and expected the Regina Folk Festival to offer a more unique experience.
Besides oxygen bars the festival will be boasting physical crafts.
Cassie Ozog with Mortise and Tenon, Ozog said they like to think of themselves as a modern day general store.
“We actually really pride ourselves on our in house made wood products, and that is everything from cutting boards, to beer caddies … and we actually do a wide array of custom furniture.”
Ozog said that their regular location on 11th Avenue in Regina will be closed, as all the staff will be working their booth at the folk festival.
The weekend also looks like it will be good for the festival weather wise.
Sandra Butel, the Artistic Director and CEO of the Regina Folk Festival said the weather forecast is looking good for both the day time and evening.
“The weather looks fantastic, it looks like it’s going to be warm during the day and have it nice (and) cool at night, so that we can get our dance on without getting too hot.”
The festival will run through the weekend.
