Garrett Hawkins said he's excited to get on the mound and start throwing the ball again.
A man who’s done the job before is rumoured to announce his mayoral bid Thursday.
Henry Dayday, who was mayor of Saskatoon from 1988-2000, will host an announcement at the Nutana Legion at noon.
What will be discussed is still unknown.
The media conference takes place one day after Coun. Charlie Clark made his intentions to run official.
Dayday ran a mayoral campaign during the last civic election in 2012; however, he bowed out after then-candidate Tom Wolfe announced his campaign.
At the time, Dayday said he was interested in the city having a change of leadership, and didn’t want to split the anti-Atchison vote.
Election Day in Saskatoon is Oct. 26.
