Previously, WHL players were declared ineligible to play NCAA hockey in the U.S.
The battle for first place in the National Lacrosse League’s overall standings continues on Saturday in New York State.
Both the Buffalo Bandits and the Saskatchewan Rush have 12-5 records, and both teams play their final games of the regular season on April 30.
The Bandits host 10-6 New England in what could be a preview of the east division final, while the Rush visit 6-10 Rochester.
If the Bandits and Rush finish with the same regular season record, Buffalo holds the tiebreaker thanks to a 19-18 win over Saskatchewan back on Feb. 26 at SaskTel Centre.
The Rush will be at home for game two, and three if necessary, of the west division final at SaskTel Centre May 21.
