A Fox Sports broadcaster believes Saskatchewan is named after Sasquatches.
In a running commentary on an NBA game between the Utah Jazz and the Dallas Mavericks, one announcer said Saskatchewan is a region known to be home to a lot of Sasquatches. The other announcer expressed doubt, but the banter continued with the announcer insisting that the Sasktachewan is named for the mythical snow creature.

The announcers were referring to NBA Jazz rookie Trey Lyles who is from Saskatoon.
