Saskatoon fire crews raced to the scene of a blaze at Micro Oil Inc. in Saskatoon’s West Industrial district Tuesday night.
Crews arrived at Avenue M S and 18th St. W just after 7 p.m. to find smoke and flames pouring from the roof and rear of the building.
The heat threatened to ignite some oil tanks on site, and firefighters had to spray them down to keep them cool.
By 8 p.m., the fire was deemed to be under control.
The only employee on scene made it out without injury. Damage is estimated at $500,000.
