One person is dead after a head-on crash on Highway 303 east of Lloydminster.
RCMP members from the Maidstone detachment were called to the scene at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
The initial police report says a car crossed the centre line and struck an SUV head on about 40 kilometres east of Lloydminster on Highway 303. The driver of the car died and the passengers in the SUV were taken to the hospital.
The highway was closed for several hours at the junction of Highway 384 but it reopened before 10:00 p.m.
There are no further details at this time about the identity of the driver who died or the status of the people who were riding in the SUV.
