Both the RCMP and the Regina Police Service tried to pull over a vehicle Tuesday morning believed to be involved in a theft.
The vehicle was first spotted east of Regina on Highway 1 by a member of the White Butte RCMP detachment. The RCMP cruiser’s lights were activated, and the suspect vehicle drove off towards Regina. The RCMP vehicle followed until the suspect vehicle turned on Gordon Road in south Regina.
The RCMP officer then alerted the Regina Police Service (RPS) about the vehicle.
RPS tried to pull over the vehicle as well, but eventually called off the pursuit when it became unsafe to continue.
