RCMP placed North Battleford Comprehensive High School under a “hold and secure” mode after shots were reported in the area of the school Friday morning.
RCMP in North Battleford received a call at about 8:35 a.m. that multiple shots had been fired in the area of Douglas Avenue near St. Laurent. Property had been damaged, but no one was hurt.
The suspect was apparently seen running from the area with the firearm still in hand.
While Mounties searched for the suspect, a “hold and secure” was put in place at the high school located just a few blocks away.
As of late Friday afternoon, the suspect remains at large. RCMP say their investigation into the shooting continues.
