A 17-year-old man has been arrested in Saskatoon on an outstanding Canadawide warrant.
The resource unit with the Saskatoon police responded just after noon on Wednesday after getting a report that a man had a firearm in the 2200 block of Rusholme Road.
The suspicious man was a passenger in a vehicle driving by.
The two schools in the area were placed on perimeter lockdown for a short period of time.
They were able to find the person believed to be a passenger standing in a nearby parking lot. The man, who had been on a warrant following an investigation into a suspicious person, was arrested.
No firearm was found. The vehicle and its driver have not been found.
