The halls at King George Community School are full of giggles as kids head back to school.
Chris Schmidt Watt’s Grade 6 class is happy to be back in the classroom.
Trinity Fontaine, 11, said she likes school so she isn’t sad that her summer is over.
“I get to hang out with my friends and come back and see all my new classmates,” she said, adding she went to the Rockies during the summer.
Paris Martin said she went wakeboarding this summer but is glad to catch up with friends back at school.
“It’s fun and it’s not scary. It’s a good school and if you need help, ask a teacher,” she said.
The students showed up Tuesday morning for registration but their first full day of classes will begin on Wednesday. All the Grade 6 students were overwhelmingly excited to learn new things.
