RCMP spotted a wanted man Thursday morning in Yorkton, but William Charles Crawford was able to flee from officers.
Mounties have been looking for the 28-year-old man since Aug. 17. Crawford is wanted in Prince Albert on charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, fleeing from police, and failing to comply with an undertaking. He’s also wanted in Yorkton for trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of stolen property and weapons.
Officers say Crawford was spotted Thursday morning but was able to flee from police in a vehicle. Police say it was a red Chevrolet Equinox with Saskatchewan licence plate 561 JVZ. Mounties followed Crawford outside of Yorkton’s city limits, traveling northwest, before calling off the chase.
Crawford is described as being six feet tall, weighing 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. RCMP say the public should not approach Crawford as he might have weapons with him.
Anyone with information on Crawford’s whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
