Regina police are looking for a man who they believe was involved in an attack that sent a 25-year-old man to the hospital this weekend.
Police were called to a break and enter in progress on the 2100 block of Athol Street before 7 a.m. Sunday. As officers made their way to the scene, they were told that a man was being attacked by a group of suspects.
The group fled before officers arrived.
Police say it’s believed that one of the suspects had gone to the victims house to confront him. A fight began in the yard before moving out to the street. The 25-year-old man was hit with a “number of weapons” including a machete.
Police say a warrant is now out for 20-year-old Daniel Dennis James LaRose for charges of aggravated assault, break and enter, commit theft, and breach of probation.
LaRose is described as aboriginal, six foot three, and 225 pounds. He has brown air and brown eyes, and a tattoo on his left forearm that says “LaRose”.
Anyone with information on LaRose’s whereabouts is asked to call the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
