If you like it hot, this week the forecast is for you.
Temperatures in Saskatchewan will soar into the low-to-mid 30s this week and topping out at around 34 C by Wednesday.
Aside from being able to work on your tan, David Phillips, senior climatologist with Environment Canada, said there will be benefits to farmers as well.
“This is good drying weather. I think that the crop that exists out there will have some heat, humidity to ripen and no frost,” Phillips said.
If the forecast holds true, the humidity by mid-week will make it feel like it is in the high thirties.
“Wall-to-wall sunshine. Not a cloud in the sky coming up,” Phillips said, adding there has never been a longer stretch of above 30 C this summer.
