Making an informed decision this election means getting to know the parties and what each stands for.
That’s why a group of law students in Saskatoon got together at Winston’s Pub to watch the leaders’ debate on Thursday.
“I’m going to try and stay interested as long as I can. I might miss a few or not be as involved for all of them but I’m going to try,” one student said.
Another student said these events are a fun way to keep people interested.
“It’s something I’m worried about but I also know that I’m enough of a nerd that I’m going to wind up watching all the debates anyway. At least this way I get to do it at a bar instead of at home,” he said.
Organizers say the event is friendly way for people from different political stripes to get together and discuss the issues. Thursday night’s event was the most successful to date.
