Despite a soggy start to the week, the Queen City Ex saw more people pass through the gates compared to the year before.
Organizers say 209,436 people attended the Queen City Ex – a five per cent hike compared to 2014.
“We feel extremely fortunate with the weather conditions throughout the week that resulted in an outstanding attendance”, said event coordinator Josh Shaw, adding that the entire event was a huge success.
While the Great Western Stage attracted large crowds each night, organizers says Sunday’s lineup of Shawn Mendes with Francesco Yates was the most-attended show since MC Hammer in 2008.
Sunday morning’s Mosaic Flip for Hunger pancake breakfast was also hailed a success, collecting 7,500 lbs of food and $2,550 of cash donations for the Regina Food Bank.
