It’s going to be a little hot and uncomfortable for a while longer inside the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre.
The facility is running into problems replacing a part inside one of the two air conditioner chillers. It blew a circuit during a power outage last Thursday, and the air conditioning has been operating at half the capacity ever since.
Additional parts are being ordered and the second chiller may not be back in service for several days. This chiller was brand new in May and is still under warranty.
Meanwhile, the facility has been making some adjustments to the airflow to make it as cool and comfortable as possible until the problem is fixed. Fans will be provided, blinds and doors will be closed while some lights in warmer areas will be turned off.
