Some streets south of Regina’s downtown were restricted as Regina’s SWAT team executed a high-risk search warrant Wednesday.
The SWAT team surrounded an apartment building in the area of Lorne Street and 14th Avenue starting at 12 p.m. Traffic and pedestrians were rerouted around the area.
The Regina Police Service says the building was searched; officers found stolen property, including a firearm.
A man was arrested. Police say charges will likely be laid.
The restrictions were lifted by 2:45 p.m.
