A Yorkton man will spend the next year and a half under conditional sentence orders after admitting to forcing a woman into his truck in 2011.
Originally, Yorkton RCMP said a woman was walking down the street in Yorkton in March 2011 when a man drove up in a truck. After talking for a minute, the man got out of the truck and threatened the woman with a knife, forcing her to get inside the truck. The woman was able to get away quickly.
Davin Davidson was arrested in November 2014, and charged with forcible confinement and assault with a weapon.
In June he pleaded guilty to the forcible confinement charge, and the assault charge was dropped.
A judge sentenced Davidson to an 18-month conditional sentence order, sometimes referred to as house arrest, and a two-year probation order after that.
