A Regina cat at the centre of an animal cruelty incident that garnered world-wide support has now found a new home.
On a post to its Facebook page, the Regina Humane Society (RHS) revealed that Bruce Almighty was adopted.
He was originally discovered last March in Regina’s northwest with black electrical tape tightly wound around his little cat paws and legs. It was so tight that circulation was cut off and eight of his toes had to be amputated.
An online fundraiser was started and nearly $25,000 was raised from people across the world to help pay for the cat’s surgery and care. After months of recovery the RHS was pleased to announce Bruce found his forever home.
Nobody has been found responsible yet for injuring the cat.
