Farm Credit Canada (FCC) is looking to celebrate exceptional women in the field of Agriculture.

On Tuesday, nominations open for the 2012 FCC Rosemary Davis Award. Davis was the first female Chair of the FCC Board of Directors. The award in her name has been handed out since 2006.

Last year's winners came from across the country and worked in nursing, cow-calf production, agri-business, philanthropy and education, just to name a few.

Five women will be chosen in March based on their leadership, vision and passion for the industry. They will have the opportunity to attend the Simmons School of Management Leadership Conference in Boston in April 2012.

Last year’s winners included one from Saskatchewan, Sherri Grant from Val Marie.

Deadline to apply is Jan. 22 and entries will only be received online.
