As long as we live next to people who beleave they are rat free we will always have rats.So my friends to the west it seems to me that rats like to hang around empty buildings. As the tide moves to the east beware.You may find you have more rats then you think !!!
We have always had rats and we always will. As long as there are old bale stacks, old buildings, and old grain piles around there will be rats. Whats the big deal as long as we keep them in check everything will be fine. If Alberta thinks they are or ever were rat free they are mistaken. We live in huge provinces, how can we think there are no rats out there. Trust me, we have much bigger things to worry about.
Not very likely, then again im not dumb enough to think they have a rat free Alberta either, give me a break, to say in the entire province they dont have a rat, how dumb do you think we are, of course we have rats and so do they.
If all the rats were to magically disappear, then who would prepare ratatouille for everyone, and what would people feed their pet snakes? hmmm maybe we should all start eating rats like some cultures do! Now doesn't that sound appetizing?!?!

Alberta Not Rat Free!
Despite all of its protestations, Alberta is not rat free either. However, they do have a very comprehensive prevention and eradication program.

Too much grain
There is just too much grain in this province for the rat issue to ever go away completely. The issue can be controlled, but will never be resolved.
