As dads the world over enjoy Father’s Day this Sunday, people in Saskatoon shared their favourite memories to mark the occasion.

"We spent the day together watching movies and eating pizza," Jacob Rettz remembered. "It wasn't spectacular, but it was awesome because we got to spend time together."

Sebastian Virlics lost his father in September 2016, and fondly remembers going fishing with his dad.

"We used to go on a lot of fishing trips, it's going to be really tough this year," he said. "I miss him every day."

Nick Whiteford has a memory that might surprise a lot of people.

"The time he forgot my birthday and made me wash his truck," he said. "I kind of sat back and waited because I knew he would remember eventually and it was funny when he did remember."

Whiteford said his dad felt bad for weeks after that moment.

"He paid me back when he let me live with him when I was looking for a new job," he joked.
